I just got done watching all of Andrew kramer’s After Effects basic tutorials and there is one thing that is really interesting and I would love to learn how to create them.

    In this video

I noticed he teaches how to create and animate Text in 3D space, but what he left untaught was how to create those Shapes and Designs surrounding the After Effects Basic Training Logo. How did he, or how does anyone for that matter, create and customize those Lines and bars, or make new shapes depending on the title?

I’ll make some great things with this

you can purchase elements like that, or you can create them yourself in Illustrator or Photoshop.

Most of those kinds of things are done in external programs, though you could make a solid and apply masks to make shapes, lines, etc.
