  • creating project for 16.9 and 4.3 on single disc

Posted by Chris Alexander on February 27, 2007 at 3:31 pm

I’m starting a small project, using stills, that I would like to create in 2 forms. One, 16.9 version which will fit 16.9 TV sets and another that will show the 16.9 format in a standard 4.3 TV set. Is there a way to do this in Premiere Pro 2 without having to create 2 separate projects (16.9 and 4.3 ratio). If possible I would like to create it in a 16.9 workspace. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Nope. You will have to create 2 separate projects.

Just make a 16:9 project and burn to DVD as such, most DVD players except some old ones will play the 16:9 on wide screen sets and automatically letterbox the footage for 4:3 if it doexn’t detect a widescreen.
