creating old record style sound
Hi,
I got a question about creating an effect. I want to make couple of textlines sound really old. Like an old record player or radio commercial. With those scratchy sounds. Does anybody have any idea how to do this? Is there an easy way to do this? Or do I need just a mic and some cracky paper?

https://www.sounddogs.com/Depending on how authentic sounding you want to be just record record player noise or a sample from the web site above and add it to a second track in the multitrack of Audition. EQ and enhance as needed.

Here’s the lazy answer: iZotope Vinyl. It’s free, and it does a pretty good job. I’ve used it on a fair share of recordings. You can actually adjust the parameters quite a bit to get the sound you’re looking for.
