September 24, 2007 at 10:38 amThere was a great thread at 3d attack a while back but most of the links with file examples are dead now…but i did manage to find this file from rui mac on my hd that I uploaded.
http://www.randyarchy.com/underwater lighting.c4d.zipThere is a tutorial for making basic waves with cloth remaining at 3d attack…but it is pretty outdated now.
I use this plugIn (same as I pointed to in your other post)…https://www.add-the-sea.de/eng/
for making waves or coastlines…you can easly make the water interact with objects and it is extremely fast to render.hope this helps.

September 24, 2007 at 5:36 pmIt really depends how much interaction you need (wakes, foam, ripples, etc.). If you just want an ocean surface you can use a large plane with bump or diplacement. The Material>Surface>Water shader works well for this, or you can layer it with different animated noises.
There are other options depending on the specifics of what you require — need more info.
