  • Creating new vector from a clipping mask

I’m not an expert with Illustrator or anything, but I have a pretty solid understand of design and design programs. I’m designing an image in illustrator an created a clipping mask of a certain shape within the overall “art.” I now want to take that clipping mask and create its own new vector image with all the layers merged to use in other documents like inDesign. But I don’t want to completely lose the previous mask in case I need to tweak certain elements within that mask. Help?
