creating my own pre keyed footage
After keying my footage, I want to render it and export as a file that I can use in a new project on AE or send it to someone I’m working with as pre Keyed footage.
I always see people offer this service, but I can’t find a tutorial on how to do it.

add the comp to the render queue (composition>add to render queue). then click the output module and choose for the video output:
channels: rgb + alpha
depth: millions+
color: straight (unmatted)for more info on the output module settings, check the manual. also, this tutorial may be quite helpful:

Hi Kevin,
What’s the best format for output and smaller file size? Rendering in Quicktime doesn’t seem to allow rgb + alpha option. Am I missing something?
