creating lower thirds in After effects and placing in adobe premiere
Hi
I have created a lower third in adobe after effects CS5 and I am using it in adobe premiere CS5.
So I was using the dynamic link to import the lower third but this creates a problem with encoding in AME. It says 45hours to render 30 minutes, but without the dynamic link it takes 40 minutes or so.
So I tried to render the lower third in AE and place it as a video in Premiere but this creates a problem that the lower third is there at the bottom but it is not transparent and obscures the main video.
Am I rendering it wrong or how should I use the dynamic link to get the best results.
help quick.

You need to export from AE with a alfa channel to get it transparant.

can you explain how to export with alfa channel in After Effects? I can seem to find that as an option. Thx

Found it under “Output Module Settings” when clicking on “Channels” drop down… ‘user error’
