Creating Engine Thrust
Does anyone have a good way of creating some Engine Thrust from a plane?
I have an airliner Jet C747 taking off and want to add that look of the engine thrust trailing behind without it looking like it is smoking.
working in CS5.5.

work at 32 bit and animate a red to hot white yellow gradient inside a disk that matches your exhaust with a pulsating glow.
Then use a animated fractal noise layer to displace the layer on top of itself and cut and animate a mask to create the trail.
You may also try to apply an adjustment layer with a radial blur with zoom on the exhaust edge area and mask that with a feathered edge.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu
