Creating Dizzy Stars/Birds effect like in cartoons

I’d thought I would follow up as to how i did this

Basically I found an effect that was transparent on the internet (did not have white sqaure behind it) and placed it over their heads. It worked perfect. i then keyframed it to move with them as they stood up and walked off to the left. I got an A in cinema 101 at los angeles valley college and now am in editing at Cal State Northridge Film Production. Go matadors!
