Hey, does anyone know of a way to make Final Cut create cuts in video based upon an audio waveform? I’m trying to create a generative video, I have After Effects set up to take in any piece of audio and create geometric graphics based upon the music, but now I’d like to edit those clips together and if I could carry on the idea of everything being generated by music as much as possible that would be great! Any ideas? Googling didn’t help, but it may be that there are very specific ways of phrasing this!

    Many thanks!

Sounds like you want sound keys. Not for FCP.

Huh, yes, that looks like the kind of thing. Even a way of marking the audio track so I have something accurate would help, but looks like the idea of having a totally generated video isn’t going to happen today…
