    Hi there!

i have to animate a sky with couds , and the results i received by the search mostly refer to the aurora sky plug in by digital anarchy.
I don’t want to buy this one at the moment ,so any other ideas/tutorials how to create clouds? Fractal Noise?

Yes, Fractal Noise is your other option. Do not attempt to simulate your clouds with one instance, though. The trick for good clouds is to have multiple ones each with slightly different settings. A good place to start is to use one layer with a low complexity setting and on top of that apply another one with higher complexity for the finer details. Use effects such as Bevel Alpha to create fake self-shadowing. CC Vector Blur does a nice job of adding some strand-like texture here and there. Also be not afraid ogf using blurs – clouds are indeed very soft, even stormy ones. Again – subtlety is the key to success.
