  • Creating chapters from project markers

Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11: To create chapters automatically it says to check the box “save project markers in rendered media” when rendering. But what if that box is “grayed” out and won’t let me select it? Is it a problem with my project settings or the video files? I placed the markers inside trimmer where I want chapters to begin. I’ve rendered as is (nothing checked) and have “undetermined error” when creating a DVD.
    Any suggestions?

First, I don’t know how much I can help because in thirteen years of using Vegas, I have never used the trimmer. It is a complete waste of my time as I find that editing on the timeline is much faster and simple.

It looks like you can only save markers on the timeline in the “render as” menu.

Stephen is right – only timeline markers can be saved as chapters.

FYI, if you have Vegasaur – you don’t have to rerender 😉
Its Markers tool can create chapters file from timeline markers with just one click

Thanks Stephen and Aleksey, I used markers in timeline and worked fine.
