I’m interested in creating broadcast graphics for a digital signage project. I use photoshop for web style graphics all the time and I have a little experience with after effects, but I have no idea about how to create the broadcast style graphics that one sees on cnn, fox, etc. Do I need more than just photoshop to this? Are there any tutorials available for beginners. I really need a good source to point me in the right direction so that I can learn what I need to know. I can’t seem to find anything about creating these types of graphics.

    Thanks alot.

I would recommend any one of the many training dvds available these days. It might take a while before you’re cranking out stuff like CNN, but it’s a really fun learning process and a good training dvd (for After Effects or Motion) will get you started.
