  • Creating and Stretching 3D Text and Images.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this for two days but haven’t had much luck, so I’m here once again to ask the experts.

I’m trying to make some 3D text and a 3D image zoom forward towards a camera while leaving what looks like a stretched out trail behind it.

A similar example of what I’m looking for can be found here: https://www.tutorial9.net/photoshop/3d-pixel-stretch-effects/

Except rather then stretching out a rectangular block, I want the shape of the text and image to be trailing behind (ideally in black rather than the color of the image). Here is another similar example (the trail behind Lenin’s head): https://farm1.static.flickr.com/132/319925301_dcf539e8e3.jpg

I’ve been half successful using this Shatter effect tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yimdi6QOSAc

There are two problems with this though. For one the image stretches toward the foreground and the background from the middle rather than from the background to the foreground. The second problem is that the stretch line isn’t nearly long enough.

Is this even possible or am I barking up the wrong tree? Hopefully I’ve described it well enough.

    Thanks in advance.
