I was hoping someone might have some suggestions for how I might be able to create an animated mask path and have it act as a motion path for an object. It seems like it should be quite simple – but the reality seems to be much more difficult. It’s actually been something I’ve interested in find out for various earlier projects, but because of time constraints I resorted to forms of manual hackery. The current project I’m working on at the moment could really benefit from it and so if anyone has any suggestions AT ALL, I’d be incredibly thankful.

    My thought:

Use a set of nulls to define a virtual “path” and use expressions to move the particles along that path. This wayyou can reshape the path by moving the nulls. You can even do 3D “paths” this way.
