Creating an alpha channel in AE
I’m an Editor using Final Cut Pro. I had someone create a lens flare for me in AE, but neither of us know how to apply an alpha channel to it. I know how to export with alpha, I just can’t figure out how to create one. Ultimately, I want to bring the flare into FCP as an element and use it as a layer. I’m under a deadline, so any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Also, try not bothering with an alpha at all and just apply it in FCP as a SCREEN transfer mode instead of ‘normal’.
