    Creating Alpha Channel from Gradiant with Halftone for AE

    Hi –

    I’m trying to create a gradiant halftone effect for import into AE – I want to use the white element of the gradient as an Alpha to expose another layer beneath.

    Very frustrated — any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Use the original grayscale gradient as a Track Matte – Luma in AE.
