  • Creating a text template or saving a text as favorite in FCP

I’m not sure if anyone has posted this question before, but I was just wondering if you can create a text template in FCP. I know they are built in templates all ready made, but just wondering if you can make your own and if there is a way to make that template a file where you can bring it into other projects or on another computer with FCP.

Also, if you can’t make a template with text can you save a text as a favorite just like you can save an effect or a transition? Thanks you.

Create a page of text using Boris Title 3D, add it your sequence, then drag and drop from the timeline into your browser. That element cannot now be considered to be a template, and anytime you want to create a page of text based on it, you load it into the viewer, modify it with Boris Title 3D, and add that to your timeline.
