I want the effect the film is made up from a series of sequential stills ging a ‘stop motion’ animation effect..

Is there an easy way of doing this rather than cutting out frames? Is there a 3rd party filter.

    thanks.

See if this Vegas trick works for you.
Right-click the video event and select properties.
Change the vale in the “Undersample rate” to 0.25 and see what it looks like.
You can go as low as 0.1 if you want to/need to.

Indeed, you have a very creative plugin filter for such an
    effect, it is “Pixelan CreativEase”:https://www.pixelan.com/

Long ago i needed this effect and wanted an easier way to
achieve it….and was directed to this plugin. It does
exactly what you are looking for and more.
