Creating a Set First Vertex Keyboard shortcut for a Mask
Hi,
I have been using AE for about 10 years now so know my way around the software. Although not very strong on technical side of it. I was trying to create a keyboard shortcut for this pull down menu
Layer > Mask and Path Shape > Set First VertexI went through a few tutorials of how to modify the Keyboard Shortcuts text documents, no luck. Also installed the KeyEd Up.jsx and still no luck.
I thought surely there would be someone on this forum who would know. Thanks in advance.Nikhil

There is no built-in shortcut key for selecting/applying a First Vertex. Can KeyEd Up.jsx link a user-created shortcut to a menu item?

I figured it out, I went in to the txt file and made changes to the script.
Under [“CSwitchboard”]“MaskSetFirstVertex” = “(Ctrl+Shift+Alt+M)”
Then save the txt file and restart AE, the last step is what I overlooked. So its all good now.
