    Hi there,

I’m working on a project and using a lot of sparkle effects when text appears and disappears.

I have a couple dissolves and I’ve been using Sapphire WipeDiffuse (Which I think is perfect).

My client wants to see a fairy dust wipe instead.

Can anyone suggest a way to do this with Particle Illusion?

    Thanks!

    MIKE

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but I did a kind of Pixie Dust wipe for our Disney vacation lower thirds. I used the “simple sparkle” particle, I think, and made a swoop with it on a lime green background, rendered it, then pulled it into sony vegas to key out the green. Then I used vegas to move the lower third box, sparkle and text in and out of the frame.

Here is the sample if you want to check it out (the lower third is in the first few seconds):

I think if I wanted it to “wipe” the text, maybe I would use a mask in vegas (or whatever NLE you use) and expose the text as the sparkle moves.
