Creating a moving tile effect
Does anyone have any idea how to create this effect ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lM5MzqqiJkA First few seconds of the video, the ‘moving tiles’ effect on the word ‘Parrot’
I’m pretty sure AE has an effect that does this automatically, but I can’t recall it. If anyone knows and has an answer to this, please reply.

Looks to me as if the Card Wipe effect would do it:

If not, take a look at the Card Dance effect, which will give you control over the cards using a Gradient layer. Neither of them is “automatic”, but it’s a lot less work than doing it manually.

Thank you, the Card Dance works pretty good, but I still couldn’t get the exact same effect. I was thinking of a transition effect from either Vegas Pro or Premiere.
