    Hello
I would like to create opening credits in AE with a mosaic transition effect.
    Similar like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRtDFiTNLaY
I imagine it can be extremely easy, but as a rookie, I couldn’t find a way to do it.
    Thanks!

a basic block dissolve is pretty simple, there’s an effect with that name in effects>transitions. you’ll just want to set the block width and height to be fairly large (like 50-100px), uncheck the option for soft edges and animate the completion property.

however, the example you have starts with a basic block dissolve, then then does a left-to right block-like wipe…. if you need that, that’s a little trickier.
