I’m familiar with the concept and use of master pages within InDesign. My desire is to essential do exactly what master pages permit, but within a singular page instead of across multiple pages.

I have an object I created from a combination of textboxes and graphics. I want to have multiple copies of this object on a single page. I want these copies to be linked back to a single original source object so that if I make adjustments to the source those changes are reflected in all of the copies. I still want to be able to modify certain traits of the copies independent of the source, for example what text is within the textboxes.

This is all exactly like master pages, except I want it to be independent of a page.
