    Creating a mask for titles in CC?

    I’m working on a lyric video. I want to use the film damage effect on just the titles in a sequence rather than the whole frame. How can I do this?

    Have you tried placing an adjustment layer above the text layers and then putting those in a precomp with the film damage on the adjustment layer?
