Creating a looping MPEG movie
Posted by Tc5 on December 30, 2005 at 7:26 pmI am looking to create a looping movie for exhibition running on a LaCie Silverscreen drive (or possibly other similar hardware). The formats the LaCie drive supports are:
MPEG-1, MPEG-2 (AVI, VOB, ISO) and MPEG 4 (AVI, DivX

December 31, 2005 at 2:49 amDepends on the software player you decide to use and how well it can be set to loop.
Some have a hiccup between loop runs.
Or you can just create a really long file.bogiesan
This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Any suggestions on software players I should consider? I don’t yet have the LaCie Silverscreen drive so I don’t know how that particular drive handles files.

December 31, 2005 at 5:08 pmWhy not making a MPEG-2-Loop inside DVD Studio Pro
and taking a 30 USD DVD-Player instead … -

I didn’t know you could play a video loop from a DVD. If that is the case, then that might be a better solution as I would like to find the cheapest hardware necessary to do this and the Silverscreen drive is a bit pricey. I want a solution which allow continuous looping video for 8+ hours stretch.
Any way to burn a looping .mov file onto DVD for playing without the use of a computer? Any other way to create an mpeg loop without going through DVD studio Pro? I only have Final Cut Pro (4.1) iMovie and Toast 6. Can this be done in iDVD or any other way?
Thanks for your help!
