  • creating a lightning along a path / mask ?

    Hello,

I’m trying to create a lightning that follows a path or a mask.

It’s simple to explain what I want, much harder to find how to do it.
I’m pretty lost because I thought it would be as simple as stroking a path, but unfortunately there isn’t an option to do that in the lightning effects that come with AE.

    any ideas that can help?

    Thanks!

You can use a layer to direct the lightning in the Advanced Lightning effect. (There are a few tutorials you can get to from the page I linked.)
