Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew of a plugin or a particular technique for quickly positioning and scaling layers in 3D space in after effects? My goal is to have a camera animate over different layers and then eventually pull out to reveal all those layers as one big icon. I know I can do this manually but this is really only a quick job and I’d rather not have to be too fiddly with scaling things in after effects.

Any tips/hints/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Paul Tuersley’s excellent pt_Multiplane effect [link] may work nicely for you.

Thanks very much! That’s exactly what I’m after. Cheers!
