I am Experimenting with FCPX we have a NAS raid server. I want to create a event library and store it on that drive. i have connected the drive but i doesn’t seem like FCP can see it. all it can see is my system drive and my 2nd internal drive. has anyone successfully connected to a network drive?

[Mike Jeffs] “am Experimenting with FCPX we have a NAS raid server.”

I have not been able to access any media via ethernet, no servers, no drobo, nothing.

Attached volumes over fibre, FW, Sata, USB all work.

Hopefully this will change in the next update. You can still edit from the Network by not coping your files to the Events folder, and then copy your Events to the drive after your edit. With the new system I would think it would be easier for Apple to share projects with others being more Metadata driven. But for now we’ll just have to wait and see.
