    Please can anyone help.
I need to make a DVD from a sequence I have made in Avid, MC8.3.1.
The problem is I am using a new Mac which has no DVD player / write.

Can anyone please advise me on the best way to solve this.
I assume a desktop USB DVD burner is the answer, but don’t know anythng about these.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan.

Not much to know…just get this:

    https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD564LL/A/apple-usb-superdrive

Plug it in via USB, and any DVD authoring software will work. Or get a BluRay burner and be future proof.

Can I ask also if the Apple one is the best, there seems to be a few alternatives.

    Thanks again!
    Dan.

Might be the best one for Mac compatibility. I’m not positive, as I haven’t tested others. I have this drive myself for the two mac minis and two MB Airs in the house.

As for DVD authoring software, I still use DVD SP…but I know Toast is the better third party option…
