i shot some footage on a greenscreen where i have a person pretending to spray paint something. i put a track marker on the spray paint bottle, so i’m hoping there’s a way to track the motion of the bottle and have it leave a mark as if paint was actually being sprayed in that pattern. i’m thinking maybe using particle playground and using the tracked motion with that? any help is great, thanks.

Well, you’d have to combine techniques and particles aren’t ideal for this type of stuff. I’d only use them to create the spray cone, but not the paint effect itself. This one can be created much easier and with more control by simply using another comp and animating e.g. the Write-On effect.
