Hey guys! I been playing around with the “Cartoonification” tutorial and was wondering if i could key out an actor, apply the ‘cartooning’ process, and still keep the transparency so i could apply actor over any back drop i want? Could the same apply to rotoscoping a certain element and applying the same effect to only the rotoscoped element? Thank you

You can make a matte of your keyed footage for use after it’s tooned. Also, it looks really cool if you follow the tutorial about adding a stroke around your actor.

    Like Tyler said:

First Cartoonify – then remove the green in AE.

Also, Make sure to allow only one green in the color pallete to ensure an easy key.

    That will work.
