I’m finishing up a 30 second TV spot for a client. The TV station wants me to provide them an uncompressed MOV file of the spot.

Their tech suggests that such a file should be *about* 250 megs.

Now, when I create an uncompressed MOV file with Vegas, a 30 second spot is about 1.4 Gigs in size. I’ve also tried going into the video settings, and choosing “component video” as the format. This results in a 30 second spot that’s over 700 megs in size.

My question: What MOV settings should I use to create an uncompressed MOV file that is about 250 megs? If I can get it down to that size, I can FTP it to the station. If not, I’ll have to physically deliver the files on CD.

    Thanks.

I’ve farther along than I was in this post, so I’ll post the new issue in a new one.
