I’ve been doing character animation for a client on a regular basis. NOW they want to get on the 3D bandwagon. Not the 3D (actually 2 1/2D) space that can easily implemented in AE but the kind viewers look at with red and green glasses.
Does anyone have any experience in creating stereoscopic comps?
I would love to know how this can be accomplished. Plugin suggestions welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dave
    THANKS!
I didn’t even think to take a look at the effects panel.
Now I just have to get me a pair of red/blue glasses and wow that client!
    Best,
    Paul

This is known as “anaglyph” 3d and you can research it for hours on the Net. Fun reading.
Faking 3D spatial relationships with a filter is not the same as building a camera rig with interocular settings and rendering each of the cameras as a separate pass. but you also have to be able to combine the two movies into a delivery format.

    Thanks Bogie!
I am creating character animation from multilayered psd files imported as comps. Alas, I have no other choice than to use filters to create the stereo pairs. Unless you can think of another alternative.
    Again thanks and best.
