Client’s web guy is requesting a SWF instead of a FLV or F4V for their web dept. Seems odd. What’s the best way to do this? I can make FLV or F4V in Adobe Media Encoder fine. Or just change the .mov to .flv on a h264 qt, but SWF doesn’t work that way. Anyone have any favorite freeware?

    After Effects exports SWF.
Not sure that any freeware can make SWFs. They are mostly used to export vector graphics, and those are normally made by applications that you have to pay for. They also support interactive options.
So unless you are exporting vector graphics or your client want to make some kind of interactive movie, the request, I think, makes no much sense.
