    hey,

i got a nice matchmove and i want to rebuild some of the geometry.
the pointcloud looks usefull to build a mesh that fits very well.
i tried to use the “create polygon” tool to draw alog points on the same plane, checked points in the snaping settings and so far. but it wont let me create a snaping polygon. i think the points are null objects
wich are not able to snap like i need it.

this would be the workflow i am looking for, any way to convert these points/objects to polygons.

for cubic shapes i usually put 4 point in a tracer combined with loft nurbs, but this is not that simple, i got a lot points arround the surface wich i already axtracted, but i dont want to bring them in order to use the tracer object.

i googled some threats about this issue but i cant find a good solution.

so has anybody ideas or links that could maybe help out here?

    thanks rOnny

You should turn on axis snapping if you’re trying to snap to nulls. You might first need to select all the nulls and run the Axis Center function.

    oh jeah that is working.

it would be nice to have a highlight function or something that shows wich
pionts are actually affected. like the transfer function, where you can see a white line.

    is there anything like that?

because i got a lot points in very small area and its never picking the right one 🙂

    thanks!

Unfortunately there’s no highlighting for this.
