I have a series of sequentail JPG images which make up an animation. I try to build an image sequence in QT but all I get is the first frame/file. Can FCP create a movie from a sequence? What is the best way/procedure to create a movie out of a sequence?

    Thanks,
    Scott

Are you using File>Open Image Sequence… to select the first still image in the sequence?

If so, are the file names properly formatted with the last characters being the number?

Any odd characters or extra numbers in the file name that might throw QT off?

First file is BPTV0000.jpg, next is BPTV0001.jpg and so on. I open image sequence, click on the first file, indicate I want 29.97 and save as self contained movie. Nothing happens. But I find a 1 frame clip .mov of that first file on my drive. I must be missing something or it does not like the files.

    Try Motion or After Effects.
