The steps listed below can be used in After Effects to make marks for fast and slow layer favorites:
To mark layers as fast or slow, open the After Effects project that contains those layers.
Choose the layer you wish to designate as fast or slow.
The frame where you want to place the mark should have the current time indicator moved there.
Use your keyboard’s * (asterisk) key to add a marking for the current time.
Choose “Edit Marker” from the context menu by performing a right-click on the marker.

Double-click the mark in the timeline panel and enter the desired label to accomplish this.
To make the mark easier to see on the timeline, you can alter its color. To do this, “Marker Options” can be selected by right-clicking on the mark in the timeline panel. The mark’s color can then be changed from there.
If you need to generate marks for rapid or slow layers at any other periods in time, repeat these steps.
