    Hello

I am struggling to create a rounded cube in Boris red –

I would like to create a spinning rounded cube (dice) with numbers on it.
When I create a cube it assumes the full size of the video canvass which is a 16:9 canvas and I struggle to get it to the perfect size – i.e square all round, and if I can manage this, how to round out the edges?

Anyone know of any tutorials to do this?

    Thanks
    Neil

the cube is stretched to match video aspect ratio so that you can map a whole frame on it’s side without distorting the image. To make a perfectly square cube you need to do some math and scale X and Z dimentions to match the Y dimension. In your case I beleive the magic number is 56.25%

    Hope this helps.

If you are looking to make dice, you could create a project that is 512 by 512 and import images for the face of your dice / cube that are 512 x 512 and everything will fit perfectly.

Creating the dice with 6 square sites will be no problem. But Neil is also asking how to make the corners round just like a real dice. I have been puzzling with this problem for quit some time, but I never found the solution. But I’m sure John can explain it to us?
