Create 3D zoom from 2D picture?
Basicly, how does one create this effect: https://vimeo.com/3936146 in sony vegas? I’ve seen an after effects tutorial, but am really close to getting it in vegas.

You do it exactly the same way you would do it in After Effects. You cut the picture up into layers with Photoshop. If you have Vegas Pro 9.0, you right-click and drop the Photoshop PSD file onto the Vegas timeline and select Add Across Tracks. Finally, you turn on 3D Track Motion for all of the tracks and position them in 3D space.
If you don’t have Vegas Pro 9.0 then you need to export the Photoshop layers as individual PNG files with an alpha channel transparency and place each one on a Vegas track.

Thanks for the input. Got 2 tracks, one for a person in front of a second track which is the background. Problem is right now it just looks as if i’m zooming into the background layer. Also the 3d source alpha doesn’t help, as the zooming doesn’t look 3d 🙁
If there’s any video tutorial you could point me to, I’d be grateful.
