  crawling ticker with rate and stopping control

  how can i control a crawling ticker’s speed with a rate slider, but also allow the ability for it to stop without moving backwards?

  the setup i have now is that the ticker is being moved left to right by “time” and that is being multiplied by the adjustable rate slider. this is all being added to it’s starting position (off screen)

  the text of the ticker and the time of the whole animation needs to be limitless

  thanks in advance, hopefully i’ve given enough info.
