I have a 25 minute 1080p project that has just two video and two audio tracks. Every time I try to render it gets from 20 to 60 percent and then freezes. Happens with make movie or render.
Any suggestions? I updated the program but that doesn’t help.

Getting the following error message. Tried pasting timeline into a new project and rendering there…no good. Windows doesn’t crash but vegas studio freezes during render. Disabled diagnostic services and anti virus.

[Bob Jones] “I have a 25 minute 1080p project that has just two video and two audio tracks.”

    Give us more – please:

    • What Media?
    • What Project Settings?
    • What Render Template?

[Bob Jones] “Every time I try to render it gets from 20 to 60 percent and then freezes.”

Could be a mass of stuff:

    • Over Heating
    • Bad Template<>Media Fit
    • Low System resources

NB: For others replying please note our colleague here is running Vegas Movie Studio Platinum last Build update – which is a good thing! There are “known” issues which are worth reading. Here’s one:

  • Movie Studio requires QuickTime 7.1.6 or later. As a general rule, you are encouraged to use the most current version of QuickTime.

It looks like it is crashing with OpenCL. Try turning off the use of the GPU.

    Ah yes Bob: OpenCL.dll

Is VEGAS MOVIE STUDIO PLAT, GPU aware?
