crashing FCP 6.0.1
Help, all my technology is going wrong recently. It’s like I have a curse. So I wasn’t completely surprised when my brand new Final Cut 6.0.1 started not opening at all . I’ve had no real problems with it before.
I click the icon, it looks as if it is about to open but NOTHING HAPPENS!
I try and open from an FCP project, nothing. I re-start the Apple (G5 Power dual core), nothing.
So, am at my wits end. Have been to all osrts of Forums to see if there was a similar problem. But no solutions are obvious and no problems the same as mine.
Thing 1: before this problem cropped up, there was a Terminal window that came up, which I quit. I had no idea what Terminal was at that time, but someone explained and so I guess it has something to do with why my machine can’t seem to ‘find’ FCP to open it.
Thing 2: up to now, I have always accepted Apple’s Updates, maybe there’s some conflict? Thanks Apple..
Can any kind person suggest a solution?
Me, my Mac and my client will be very very grateful. Ta.

Thanks. Deleted preferences, but to no avail. Still nothing, not opening.
