Crashing creating Trimmed Project
I was wondering if anyone has experienced constant crashes while creating a trimmed project with MXF clips. PP managed to trim 6 of 15 clips before the crash. It would be great to get this to work since FCP can’t media manage MXF files & the facility I work for uses XDCAM for all acquisition & program archiving etc.

Does it fail repeatedly at the same point each time? I.e., is there one asset or item that is causing the problem?

I tested with a couple of different projects today & haven’t been successful creating a new trimmed project yet. Exporting XML from FCP 7. If I were to guess, I would say it bails out at the same clip each time. So I would blame the assets. I didn’t know if you’ve heard of users having troulbe with MXF files. One of the tests just completed 1 of 20 clips then crashed. I’m running a quad core Mac Pro with 32 GB Ram, Nvidia Quadro 4000, AJA KONA LHE etc. Don’t know all specs right now.
