Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Crashes

    I recently re-installed XP on my computer. Now After Effects has started to crash randomly. I have re-installed XP on my computer before and then it worked just fine.
    The error messages I get are the following:

    After Effects error: crash occurred while invoking rendering plug-in "AE_OpenGL"."

    This is followed with

    After Effects can't continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. See https://www.adobe.com/support/products/aftereffects.html for known issues. If you still can't resolve the issue, please contact Adobe Technical Support (2).

    (0 :: 42)

    Then I get a chance to save and when I have, the following pops up

    After Effects warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands.

    about 10 times and then it freezes.

    I’ve visited the link and it didn’t give me much. Anyone got a clue on what’s happening?
    My computer meets the requirements and I’ve updated my graphic cards driver. I’m using two monitors, but this has worked before. I’m lost and confused. Thought about re-installing, would that help?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hm, I noticed DirectX 9.0c was not installed. May that interfere in some way?
    (For some reason I couldn’t edit my post)
