Crashes on my MBP
Originally posted in the Apple OS Leopard forum and didn’t get much feedback which is why I’m posting here.
Couple of days ago, while working on website with PS open, the screen wiped a dark translucent screen from top to bottom with the message that ‘You need to restart your computer’. ‘Hold down the power button to shut down’. When I restarted, within a few seconds it started beeping before bootup. Powered down again. Waited awhile and it finally booted up. It’s happened several times since. Have my PS, DW, FCS and Flash apps disks but don’t want to go that route unless it’s a last resort.
I’m going crazy over this. Have websites to build, thousands of photos and graphics on an external drive and more. Tried to backup first with CCC but it crashed midway through. Now external is messed up but the important stuff is still there, thank goodness. Is it hardware related or software? Can I archive and install on external without losing everything there? Using the airport code supplied by landlord. Will I lose that as well? Please help! Thanks.
