  Crashes after setting preferences

  I have Premiere Pro 1.0 running with a Canopus Rex card, and recently I have been having some problems when I open my preferences to either change scratch disks or still image duration. When I close it, Bars and Tone will continuously import into my bin until I have to force quit the program. Ive been running this for some time and these events are new, but I cannot pin-point what started it. I have completely uninstalled, deleted my prefs, reinstalled, and updated my drivers, but the problem is still occuring. Any suggestions?
