Hello Group,
I am getting this message????
“Sept 4 20:22:14 Pit-Computer-2 crashdump[345]:
BlackmagicDaemon crashed”
“Sept 4 20:22:14 Pit-Computer-2 crashdump[345]:
BlackmagicDaemon crashed”……..on an on and on????

I am using Driver 4.7 with Decklink HD and not 5.6.2 because their is a 20 second lag when use” CAPTURE or STOP CAPTURE with DECKLINK CONTROL”. The G5 has a PCI -X and decklink card is in slot 1
How do I fix this problem. THANK YOU

Now I’m getting

How do I fix that???

You need to update your drivers. If you don’t want to use the 5.6.2 drivers, try either the new 5.7 or the older 4.8.1 drivers depending on the version of Final Cut Pro you’re using.

I off course tried the newer “drivers” but there is a really bad “20 second lag” with Decklink-Deck-control to the local Hard-drive or external RAID. I am not using FCP dont’to. All I want to do, is to capture NTSC or HD incompress Quictime movies!
Help anybody.

Hi,

What do you mean by the 20 second lag? Do you mean that the time taken from when you attempt to start recording, to the time when it really starts recording, is 20 seconds? What speed does Blackmagic Disk Speed Test report for your local hard drive and also for your external RAID?

With the 4.7 driver.
The test speed show with RAID
Disk read data rate 119.8 MB/s and Disk write data rate 178.4 MB/s
The test speed show with local drive
Disk read data rate 56.9 MB/s and Disk write data rate 35.8 MB/s

Driver 5.6.2
The test speed show with RAID
Disk read data rate 58.8 MB/s and Disk write data rate 51.0 MB/s
The test speed show with local drive
Disk read data rate 58.3 MB/s and Disk write data rate 38.4 MB/s

I get this console warning :
v210: Warning: we can’t gamma adjust half/quarter size 2vuy/b64a! Returning can’t match.

PS: My ADTX is a Arraymastor L firmware L59b with 2 controlers for Celebrity/Atto and I should be getting about 300 MB/s.
