So I don’t use multiprocessing for a couple reasons, but I was testing some things out today. Anyway, I can’t get it off. It lets me uncheck the box but when I click OK I get the ball of death. Also sometimes when I change the memory and cache settings.
    Any ideas?

    I’ve tried purging.

Same thing happening to me… Although this seemed to fix it AND give great performance…
take the amount of RAM u have divided by the number of processors equals “X” now make sure the ram and cache setting percentages are such that the ram equals less than “X” it seems when the multiprocessing is clicked on… it takes this value for EACH processor… so when its overclocked it freezes… After i adjusted this setting…. my octocore is FLYING rending Huge chunks of frames at a time…

nah, still happens. I don’t really use it or have the need for it anyway. Dave, trashing preferences did work this time around.
    Thanks all,
    Joey
