Trying to paste text from Illustrator CC into Premiere Pro CC titler (I do this a lot to retain text formatting) PP crashes, “a serious error has occurred that requires Premiere Pro to shut down”

    Thanks

I can confirm this behavior. I will ask the Premiere Pro team, but my guess is that you’re ultimately trying to paste a vector (math representing shapes and color) into a raster (actual pixels with color values, etc.) and that is creating the issue. If I get anything that says differently, I will let you know.

Oddly, they’re both vector text systems…just different systems. Illustrator vs Inscriber…

I’ve never attempted to do the copy-paste thing myself.

You know you can just load an Illustrator file into a Title Designer canvas? right-click, choose logo. It doesn’t come in as editable text, it comes in as a graphic.
